APC Congresses Headquarters to Create Appeals Panel to Evaluate Reports

All-Progressive Congress (APC) interim committee member  Ismal’il Ahmad said Wednesday that the party will set up a committee on Thursday to a**ess countrywide reports of state conventions to be held over the weekend.

Ismal’il Ahmad, who is also the party’s national youth leader, announced this on a radio program in Kano, explaining that the party’s headquarters would discuss the issue before making a decision.

According to him, representatives of the party monitoring the congresses from Abuja have not yet submitted their reports.
It should also be recalled that two faction leaders came out at the state party congress on October 16: Abdullahi Abbas and Haruna Danzago, both claiming to be duly elected chairmen.

Ahead of the state’s Executive Council meeting on Wednesday, Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje said that APC’s national headquarters had recognized his nominated candidate, Abdullahi Abbas, as the duly elected state chairman of the party.

However, This is stated in a statement to the press released by the chief press secretary of the governor Abba Anwar and transmitted to reporters on Wednesday.
