Big Brother Naija, previously acknowledged as Big Brother Nigeria, is a Nigerian reality competition television series, based on the Big Brother television franchise, in which, contestants live in an isolated house and compete for a large cash prize and other material prizes, at the end of the show by avoiding being evicted from the house by viewers who vote for their favorite housemates to remain in the show.

The first season of the show first aired on M-Net and DStv Channel 37 from 5 March to 4 June 2006. The voting results were verified by the auditing company of Alexander-Forbes.

There’s always a winner in every race, and to keep that track, we’ve listed Big Brother Naija winners from Season 1 to date as well as all the all-time MTN Project Fame winners.

In addition to the prize winners, there are millions of naira offers for other competitors who didn’t even win the grand prize. We’ve noticed that over the years, other roommates (non-winners) receive more contract deals.

Katung Aduwak was the first to get the feeling of winning the BBNaija show in 2006. Then it was presented by Olisa Adibua and Michelle Dede.

Katung Aduwak is into filmmaking and production, and currently working on music videos and TV series. He’s one of the directors of some of the series and TV shows on Africa Magic.

2. See Gobe (South Africa) – Efe Ejeba, 2017

We all know “Efe” with so many Warri slangs he brought into the house. He is the winner of the 2017 Big Brother Naija 2 with the theme ” See Gobe“.

Efe is an Artist and entertainer ever before and after the BBNaija show. He became famous for representing the streets of Warri despite living in Jos. After the show, he continued the pursuit of his career in entertainment with music. worked with top music acts that include Olamide, Iceprince, and BOJ.

3. Double Wahala (South Africa) – Miracle Igbokwe, 2018

He is the winner of BBNaija Season 3 Double Wahala. The edition was also held in South Africa with the theme, Double Wahala. And really it was a wahala.

Right from day one of the show Miracle always desired to get training to become a professional and commercial pilot.

Immediately after the show ended he went back to school to study to become a professional and commercial pilot.

4. Pepper Dem (Lagos, Nigeria) – Mercy Eke, 2019

Mercy Eke emerge as the first female to win the Big Brother Nigeria reality competition television series in the year 2019. The fourth edition was held in Nigeria with a theme, ‘ Pepper Dem’.

Mercy is a model and an aspiring artist to be. She ended up falling in love with one of the housemates ‘Ike” and agree to remain with him, she made the statement before she was officially announced as the Big Brother Naija 4 winner.

The other top 4 housemates that struggled the title with her are as follows; Mike, Frodd, Seyi, and Omashola. After the eviction, Mike and Mercy remain the men standing for the N60million prize.

5. Lockdown Nigeria (Lagos, Nigeria) Laycon, 2020

Olamilekan “Laycon” Agbeleshe is was born in 1994. He is a songwriter and a rapper.

He studied at the University of Lagos (2012-2016). He graduated from the institution with a BA in Philosophy, Second Class Upper.

Laycon was the 1st contestant to still be in the BBNaija show and has gathered Millions of followers to his Instagram and Facebook. Indeed, the favor of God was with him throughout.

While Laycon is not a controversial housemate, he seems to have gotten himself into an ‘entanglement’ – that is, with his feelings for Erica. Laycon developed feelings for Erica and declared his interest in being in a relationship with her. Sadly, Erica rejected him, saying that she has a connection with Kiddwaya.

6. Shine Ya Eye (Lagos, Nigeria) Whitemoney, 2021

Whitemoney is a South- East man who will not think twice to speak his mother tongue but that’s not all, he also takes pride in being fluent in Yoruba and Hausa too. According to him, he likes war and fire. His hobbies include watching movies, making music, and driving.

Whitemoney is a businessman who deals in shoes but he could easily switch to comedy because he always has jokes up his sleeves. To talk to him, you should think about smiling, because he likes people who smile, and he can also make you smile easily.

After a tight competition amongst 24 housemates, Whitemoney emerged the winner with over 47% vote of the total.

As the season 6 winner, he goes home with a grand prize worth 90 million Naira. The grand prize includes a ₦30 million cash prize, cash in an Abeg digital wallet, bitcoins courtesy of sponsor Patricia, a two-bedroom apartment courtesy of RevolutionPlus Property, a top of the range SUV from a Nigerian automaker, Innoson Motors, and a trip for two packaged by Travelbeta, among other consolidation prizes.
