Senior Assistant President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, confirmed that the President had gone into isolation following the COVID-19 proceedings after returning from his trip to London.

Shehu has revealed that the president and those in his delegation will be isolated according to guidelines for international travel such as the National Center for Disease Control, NCDC.

After Shehu, President Buhari and all those who accompanied him on the trip took the mandatory PCR test on Friday, August 13th, and will undergo the second test days later.

Since the president and several Nigerian officials have reported, Nigeria has contacted High Commissioner officials in the UK, some of whom have tested positive for COVID-19.
