While South Korean tech giant Samsung still has time to unveil the Samsung Galaxy A53, rumors have started circulating on the internet, with the latest talking about the phone’s potential colors.

According to GSM Arena, the Galaxy A53 will be available in at least four colors – black, white, blue and orange. However, Samsung may offer more options after the smartphone launches in the first quarter of 2022.

GalaxyClub previously reported that the Galaxy A53 will have the same 64MP main camera as the Galaxy A52s, and it’s unclear if the rest of the devices will be the same – 12MP ultra-wide, 5MP depth and 5MP macro.

Stellantis NV and Korean battery manufacturer Samsung SDI Co. plan to build a plant in the United States as the automaker moves further into the electric vehicle space.

The two signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a joint venture to build a new plant, Samsung SDI said in a statement Friday. By the first half of 2025, the facility’s annual output is expected to be around 23 GWh, and will eventually grow to around 40 GWh. The location of the plant has not been determined.

The batteries from the new facility will be installed in a variety of next-generation Stellantis vehicles, from pure electric vehicles to plug-in electric hybrids, Samsung said. Stellantis, with brands such as Jeep, Peugeot and Ram, aims to increase US sales of electrified vehicles to 40% of deliveries by the end of 2030, The plant will be the first Samsung SDI plant in the US to be added to plants in South Korea, China and Hungary.

Stellantis on Monday unveiled a plan to build a 40 GWh plant in North America with LG Energy Solution, a Samsung SDI competitor. LG, the second largest manufacturer of lithium-ion batteries in the world, also has a joint venture with General Motors Co.

However, We will maximize our customer satisfaction in the North American electric vehicle market with the quality and safety of Samsung SDI batteries,” Chief Executive Officer Jung Yong Hyun said Friday. “We are delighted to have a joint venture with Stellantis that is accelerating the electrification strategy against the backdrop of a green trend.”
