A group under the shield of the Congress Forum of Contestants and Like-minded Minds of All Progressives in Taraba has accused the party leadership of disobeying the constitution and party guidelines at ongoing congresses.

The group, in a statement issued at the end of its emergency meeting held in Jalingo on Tuesday, said that parallel congresses were held in the state and therefore called for the harmonization of the local government’s list of congresses, saying that failure to comply with the party leadership will not. to be accepted.

The statement signed by Alhaji Buba Madugu and Sani Abdullah Tullu, president and secretary of the forum, respectively, also called for a genuine congress to be held to allow a level playing field for all contestants for the sake of justice.

The group also rejected the supposed plan of the interim party executive, led by Barr. Ibrahim Tukur El-Sudi and some high-ranking personalities in Abuja hijack the party’s structure and machinery.

“We urge the party’s national secretariat to step in and ensure a level playing field, justice, fairness, and equity for all members, particularly for contestants for various positions in the party,” the group said.
